Aaron Brengard is currently the Director of Human Resources for the Evergreen School District in San Jose, California. Formerly in Evergreen he has held roles as Director of Safety, Child Welfare and Attendance, principal of LeyVa Middle School which includes Bulldog Tech, a New Tech Network school, and principal of Katherine Smith Elementary where he led the implementation of project-based learning to reinvent Katherine Smith Elementary from a traditional, public, neighborhood school into model of innovation recognized as a Partnership for 21st Century Learning Exemplar and Buck Institute for Education PBL Exemplar School, as well as District Instruction Coordinator, Assistant principal at Quimby Oak Middle School, and instructional coach, an classroom teacher.
In his twenty one years in teaching and administration, Brengard has been a strong advocate for bringing innovative learning approaches, strong systems, and best practices to school communities.
